Yes, and they often make some of our most beautiful pieces. Old family photos, heirloom prints, and photographs you only have as a physical copy all work wonderfully. The key is getting a good phone photo of the print to upload.
Quick tips:
- Take the photo out of the frame if you can. Glass causes glare that will show up in the final art.
- Lay it flat on a plain surface in soft, even daylight (near a window on an overcast day is ideal).
- Shoot straight down so the print looks rectangular, not tilted.
- Fill the frame and tap to focus before you shoot.
If your photo is stuck behind glass, stuck in an album, faded, or you just want a second pair of eyes, our Studio Service is built for exactly this, or email hello@ephe.art and we'll take a look.
