How do I know what my print or canvas will actually look like?

On every product page, just below the purchase buttons, you'll see the exact cropping of your image as it will appear on your physical product, whether you're ordering a fine art print or a canvas. Sizes and shapes crop differently, so this is the best way to confirm the framing you love is the framing you'll get.

Crop preview shown below the purchase buttons on the product page

Please review the crop before you check out.

If the cropping doesn't feel right to you, for example, if it trims a face, cuts off something important, or just doesn't look the way you imagined, you have a few options:

  • Crop your original photo to the proportions of the canvas or print size you want to buy, then re-generate the image. The new version will fit that shape cleanly with no surprise trimming.
  • Change the size or format you're buying so it more closely matches the proportions of your original artwork. For example, if your piece is a portrait orientation, a square canvas will crop more than a tall rectangular one.
  • Email us at hello@ephe.art before checking out. Tell us what's off and we'll work with you to get it right.

Why this matters

Every piece is made to order, and as soon as your order is placed the image is sent to our printing labs. Once that happens it's very difficult to cancel or change the print. The preview you see below the purchase buttons is effectively your proof, by checking out you're approving that image for print.

Taking 30 seconds to review the crop before you buy is the single best way to make sure you love your finished piece.
